Introduction:

Gently squeeze between your thumb and forefinger. Apples should be very firm and have bright, shinning color. Avoid those with visible dents and soft spots. Those are bruises that will turn into rot. Any softness when squeezed is a sign of a poor, mealy apple eating experience you will not enjoy.

What to do with it…

Keep them cool!  

Place apples in the crisper drawer of your frig if possible, where the ideal temperature is 35 degrees. 

You can store them for up to a month !!

Cooler space an issue, or you just bought a whole bag?

The counter is fine for shorter duration, but eat those first.
